Could you make brief notes on these types of error made, please?

a) He suggested leave at ten o'clock.

b) I changed my decide.

c) Less people are unemployed today.

d) I need some accomodation in London.

e) She has long dark hairs and black eyes.

Thanks a lot.

Where did you find these sentences? Which do you think contain errors and what do you think those errors are? You need to do some work here before we just hand you the answers.

I have to do an exercise and I have to explain the type of errors.

a) He suggested leave at ten o'clock.------ He suggested leaving at ten o'clock. (I think it is a form error. We have to use "leaving" instead of "leave" because this sentence refers to a past action).

b) I changed my decide.-------- I changed my decision. (It is a lexical error: to decide is a verb; decision is a noun and in this sentence we need a noun).

c) Less people are unemployed today.------- Fewer people are unemployed today. (Less is used for uncountable nouns; fewer is used for plural countable nouns).

d) I need some accomodation in London.---------I need some accommodation in London. (It is a spelling error: accommodation with double m).

e) He has long dark hairs and black eyes.-------She has long dark hair and black eyes. (It is a morphological error: hair is uncountable, so it has no plural form).

Is my exercise correct? Thanks.

Then it is your homework. Our teachers here would not do homework on behalf of students.

Not a teacher.

We don't give you homework in this forum and we don't help with your class homework.

If you are given work to do by your teacher, then you must do it yourself, alone. If you ask us for help, the work you give your teacher will not be your work. It will be our work. I don't think your teacher is interested in whether I can spot the errors in those sentences. She is only interested in whether you can spot the errors.

Try as hard as you can with the exercise. Give your answers to your teacher. After you find out if you were right or wrong, you can come back to us if you don't understand any of your teacher's comments or corrections.

I am going to close this thread now. Good luck with your homework.
