Do these two sentences mean the same thing?
1. Many experts are sceptical that the idea of mining asteroids for rare metals can be put into practice.
2.The proposal to mine asteroids for rare metals is one that far from all experts feel can be achieved in reality.

2.The proposal to mine asteroids for rare metals is one that FEW (IF ANY) experts THINK can be achieved in reality.
I would be skeptical too.

The two have pretty much the same meaning. The first is better in my opinion because the second sounds a bit unnatural and klunky to my ear.

I don't know the title and the author of the book. I've seen it on a telegram group.

The person who posted it on the Telegram group should have provided the title and author. Otherwise, it's a copyright infringement.

As probus said, sentence #1 is OK. It's clear and to the point. Sentence #2 is very unnaturally worded.
