A car pulled into the driveway of the house and parked in/under the carport.

Are either of 'in' and 'under' okay here do you think?

I haven't got one, but I'd say in the carport or under the canopy.

I don't know that I've ever heard of parking 'in' a carport. It's not enclosed enough to merit 'in', to me.

On the other hand, I doubt that I'd even notice if someone did say 'in'.

One can park in the driveway and that's not enclosed at all. I think "in the carport" is fine.

If the carport is the whole of the enclosed area, then 'in' seems perfectly suited and 'under' is wrong.
