Guys

which sentnce is correct? (event date is 12th December 2019)

while checking the spread sheet, i have noticed the event date has already passed

or

while checking the spread sheet, i have noticed the event date is past

Capitalization and punctuation errors make both sentences incorrect.

Fix those errors and ask yourself which of these is correct:

The date has passed.

The date has past.

Welcome back after your long break.

[STRIKE]Guys[/STRIKE] No salutation is necessary. Just go ahead and ask your question.

Your earlier threads show that you used to understand capitalisation and punctuation very well. What has happened in the last year and four months to make you forget all that?

As well as doing what GS asked, please take a look out of the window and check that you're still in Dominica. If not, please amend your profile to tell us your correct location.

"The date has passsed" Is that right?

How did I misss that?

Sorry for the mistake I have made. My current location is in Dubai.

Could you please clarify my doubts regarding "has passed and has past"

Please click on your username and update the location in your profile.

The past participle and simple past of the verb pass are both passed. The word past can be a noun, adjective, adverb, or preposition but never a verb.
