[Vocabulary] Positive annotation for minimal and minimalistic

Hi

I am trying to create a sentence where i am comparing two pieces of essays

I want to say that one of the essay is very detailed whereas the other one only provides less information(but efficiently)

Can i say "essay XYZ's minimalistic structure is easy to understand"

As far as i can understand minimal is a negative annotation and means inefficient, but i wanna say essay XYZ is efficient

Minimalism doesn't really have a negative connotation, but in terms of information or language it is not the suitable adjective. It applies to visual aesthetics.

You mean concise. Economy is also a relevant concept.

Essay XYZ's concision makes its meaning readily accessible.
Essay XYZ's economy and understatement belie its powerful message.
Or some such thing.

'Minimal' does not necessarily have a negative connotation. E.g. ' employers like to employ staff who are able to work with minimal supervision.'

'Minimalistic' is used when we talk about styles. E.g. ' The interior design of houses nowadays is simple, modern and minimalistic, rather than using elaborate decorations.'
Thus, your comment on the style of the essay is appropriate.
