receive condolence money

On a obituary, is it proper to write "Thanks, but we don't receive condolence money" if the deceased's family would like funeral attenders to save their money? Thanks,

It is customary in the UK for people to send flowers, not money, to a funeral as a form of condolence. If the people organising the funeral don't want that to happen, they write something in the funeral announcement to the effect of "No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to [name of charity/hospice]". If they don't want to even give mourners the option of making a donation, they just leave it at "No flowers".
