Is this a correct sentence? Do we need to use "do" or "are" at the end? What is the way to decide whether we need to use "do", "are" or "have" at the end in these kinds of sentences?

The main sentence is correct.

If the sentence opens with a form of "to be", end it with nothing or with a form of the same verb.
If the sentence opens with a form of "to have", it can end with nothing, a form of "have" or a form of "do".
If the sentence opens with anything else, end it with nothing, or a form of "do".

She is much happier than you [are].
He has more money than you [have/do].
She looks much nicer than you [do].
