Should I say "The sky looks as evening" or "The sky looks like evening"?

Should I say "The sky looks as evening" or "The sky looks like evening" ?
What is the difference between "as" and "like" ?
Thanks.

Hello.:-D
I do understand the message those sentences convey.
How would you describe it?
Could it be something like :
'Look at the sky. It is showing(shows?) it is evening.'
Not quite?

Yes, it is like the context you gave. I think "as" and "like" have different function although they seem to be the same.
