"So do I" or "So have I"

What should I use in response? "So do I" or "So have I"?

"I have a dog." "So do I."
 
They're both possible.

Bear in mind that in BrE, it's more common to say "I've got a dog". The natural answer to that is "So have I".
 
So have I isn't impossible, but only So do I is likely in American English.
