Yes, my guess is,

1. Think that the answers are wrong, it should have 'hadn't been'

2. were

3. He is said

I think, you assume that the question is;
He was very poor. I wished he...........

No, it wasn't 'wished' . It was 'wish'

I can't agree with your # 2 and 3, nado92.

He was very poor. I wish he hadn't (been).
It's time I was at the airport.
He is very generous. He is told to help everyone.

I'm confused about the third, though. Neither works perfectly well for me. Is the meaning that someone tells him to help other people and that's why he is generous?

3.He is very gererous. He..................to help everyone.
a)is said b)is told Is said.

Thank you.

Thanks bhaisahab.
Could you please explain why none of the versions work in #1? And what should be the right answer?
Oh, and "He is said to help everyone". I'm confused about this. Why it's not the other one?

Thanks bhaisahab.

I think Maral55 is right simply and there should be 'hadn't been' there.

I think both are correct, but mean different things. He is said means people say. He is told on the other hand means someone's told him. But I think he's been told would be much better in this case, and that's why bhaisahab rejected it. Maybe someone could use he is told meaning he is being told, but I'm not sure.
And maybe he is told is never correct and it should always be either he's been told or he is being told.

Yes, "hadn't been" would be correct. If the man were very generous, he wouldn't need to be told to help everyone.

For the second question 'were' is not correct?

I remember there was a rule that in this situations was changed to were.
