Hello,

I would like to know whether the expression "sorry about this sudden visit" sounds natural or not.
Let's say you made a visit to a company and asked receptionist to let you meet a person. Luckily, the person you wanted to meet is available and allowed you to meet him/her.
Before you introduce yourself to him/her, I want to say something to apologize for visiting him without making an appointment.
Whakt kind of expression would be appropriate in this case? Does "sorry about this sudden visit" sound natural?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I'm sorry I didn't have an appointment. I'm happy that you had time to meet with me.
