[Grammar] Teams?

If I were saying ' The teams high scoring player is...', would I replace teams with teams' or team's?
 
I'm not sure why you used "replace". If you write the sentence, it would be "The team's highest scoring player is ...".
 
If you're referring to a number of teams, say "The teams' highest-scoring player is ... etc." If it's just one team, then say "The team's highest-scoring player is ... etc."
 
If it is the teams' highest scoring..., it should be "players are".
 
One could be looking at the players from multiple teams.
Alternatively, it's possible (albeit unlikely) for someone to play for more than one team.
 
I'll go with the first and use the plural.
