"The buildings are in an industrial sector downtown." (Vocabulary for TOEIC, Ivy)

Is "an industrial sector" the right word here?
I think it should be changed into "an industrial area, district, or zone". Am I right?

"Sector" works for me in that context.

Yes, in general usage. "Sector" can refer to a geographic area in military language but it's not usually used that way in other contexts.
 
I think sector is the wrong word. It should be district, area or zone when talking about geographical places. We use sector to talk about non-geographical areas, such as financial sector, etc.
