Which of the following sentences is/are correct?
1:-The camel can go long distance without water.
2:- The camel can go a long distance without water.
I think that generally "distance", being an uncountable noun does not take "a" before it but the phrase "a long distance" is an exception. Am I right?
Kindly enlighten me by providing answer to my problem.
