Hello,

I came across the term "cloud-streaked sky". What does it mean exactly? Does it mean a situation when half the sky is blue and half of it cloudy? Is it related to the kind of the cloud? If you see a lot of big fluffy clouds in the sky, can you use "cloud-streaked"?

Do we have the term "cloud-studded"?

The word streak has a basic sense of being long.

Try an image web search for 'cloud streaks' or 'streak of clouds'.

I googled it before starting the thread and I saw some very different pictures.

So, "cloud-streaked" means the sky is full of thin and long clouds?

What can I say if the sky is full of fluffy clouds? Does "cloud-studded" work?

Yes.

Yes.
A win-win!

I think streak is something which appears as longish and less distinct, as in streaky bacon, which is lean meat layered with streaks of fat. Studded refers to something which is distinct and stands out, as in a star-studded sky, rather than fluffly, fuzzy-edged clouds.

At least in my part of the world these days, straaky bacon is more like slices of fat with streaks of lean meat in it. :-(
