Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"The old theater was owned by some descendants of those who founded the city. Over time they became a real estate company that was listed on the stock exchange and where they had preferred stocks. There were two sides and the one who wants to sell was the one who won"

Thanks.

There are a couple of things. First, it didn't just happen that they "became" a real estate company. They formed a company. And that company bought real estate. (Or the other way around.) Second, no dispute is mentioned, but one is implied. What was the dispute? What do they want to sell? The theater?

The descendants of the founders had a part of the company that ownes the theater. One of the group wanted to demolish the 100-year-old building and the other group wanted preserve its historical importance

A dispute arose amongst the shareholders over whether to demolish the old theater or preserve it. An election was held amongst the shareholders, and the group in favor of demolishing the theater won.
