I think that this sentence "The person doing the tickled tells her that the “redness is fading”" is slightly incorrect rather it would be "The person doing the *tickling* tells her that the “redness is fading”. Please explain your opinion about it.

You're right, but it's not 'slightly' incorrect – it's completely wrong.
