1.The proyon has a similar mass to that of a neutron.
2.The emotions in the poems are those of loss and grief.
Can anyone tell me how to use "that of " and "those of " in the two sentences above? Thanks.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Those sentences contain examples of the phrases you're asking about.

I think you also have a typo - it should be 'proton' instead of 'proyon'.

Where did you get these examples?

First of all, thanks for reply.
The problem I have is that I don't quite understand the grammarical uses of 'that of' and 'those of' in both sentences metioned above.

And in the first it means similar to the mass a neutron has.
