(My original scenario)

1. [Tom is packing his luggage at home]
Tom: Ha! I’m excited. I’m flying to the US tonight. This is/will be my first time to/going to/visiting America.

2. [Tom’s flight is landing]
Tom: Wow, this is my first time in America.

3. [A week later, Tom is leaving America]
Tom: Oh, this has been/was my first time in America.

What do you think of them? Do they all work?
