Hello :)

I'm reading an article about a comic-con festival and I don't quite understand the meaning of this sentence: "Thursday to Sunday is a short time in which to pack a lot in."

Does it mean that the event is too short to go through all the activities at the festival?

Thanks in advance!

Yes. The metaphor is an extension of the idea of packing stuff into a container.

Welcome to the forum.

You've got the right idea. To take part in all the activities, it would say '...is a short time in which to pack everything in'.

Yes. They are exactly right.

Do NOT confuse it with to pack it in, which means to quit.

You have the right idea, but I don't think the original sentence is very good, as you can pack a lot in in three days. There may be too much for you to see everything, but that doesn't stop you from seeing a lot.
