1) Tom has six fingers on his right hand.

2) Jim has only four fingers on his left foot.

Are these sentences correct?

I am sure you know that we don't have fingers on our feet!

Tufguy, what exactly were you trying to work out or clarify with that question?

Should I use "In" or "On" in these sentences?

If someone has only three fingers then should I say "He has three fingers in his right hand"?

1. Tom has an extra finger on his right hand.
2. Perfectly grammatical but impossible.

Tufguy, have you worked out yet what we have on our feet? They're not fingers.

We were hoping tufguy would twig that himself.

That would have kept him on his toes. ;-)

Jim has only four toes on his left foot.

There has already been a page and a half of responses on two simple sentences. What more do you want? You've been told to use "on", not "in", in your context. You've been told the sentence about fingers on a hand was OK. Now consider that since you wrote post #12, three members have liked it and no one has posted any corrections. What does that tell you?

Sorry, lack of concentration.

Replace "fingers" with "digits" and both would be correct.

Sorry, lack of concentration.

That is a big problem for you. We have known it for a long time. It's good to know that you now recognise it as well. Hopefully, you will now learn to slow down, read every response very carefully and make sure you read them again before you post follow-up questions.
