Hello.

Have I used "abnormal" correctly in this sentence? Could you please tell me what you think about the sentence?

What is the most abnormal in this city is the sense of normality that pervades even though things are anything but normal. It is abnormal that misery and suffering are the normal state of affairs.

I think it is a roundabout way of saying:

In this city, misery and suffering have become so commonplace that people have accepted them as normal.

Ted's paraphrase is good, but your original line is more entertaining.

You made my day Charlie.

Are there any problems with the sentence? Any way it can be better?

You made my day, Charlie.

Are there any problems with the sentence? Is there any way it [STRIKE]can[/STRIKE] could be better?

Note my corrections above. I like your original.

I would add that it is abnormal to a visitor. (Obviously, it is normal for them.)
