In my online group there's a student who's studying in Harvard University. The other day when people knew that she's a Harvard student, many asked her questions. I asked her one "What are the students like in Harvard University? Do you really get up at 4 am to study?"

I heard a gossip saying that students in Harvard get up at 4 am every day to study in the library. So I wanted to know if it's true. Are my italic sentences okay?

See above. Note that "gossip" is uncountable so you can't have "a gossip".

I would change the order of the opening information. Sentence 1 suggests that you already knew she was a Harvard student. You then say "people" (and I assumed that included you) found that out. Try opening with:

The other day, we discovered that one of the members of our online group is a student at Harvard. We had lots of questions for her. I asked her ...

Not if a book I read (by Cleveland Amory) is accurate. No way would those particular Harvard students have gotten up that early.
