While talking with someone over the phone.

What are you doing now?


I'm taking down the clothes from the clothesline.

I'm taking the clothes down from the clothesline.

I'm taking the clothes off the line/ clotheslines.


or any suggestions?

All those are acceptable.

I say 'I'm bringing the washing in'.

All those are acceptable.

I say 'I'm bringing the washing in'.
Yes, all three would be used in AmE, but "bringing in the wash" in AmE.
