What is the meaning of 'atmospheric town'? It appears in the following sentence from a news story about the scion of Britain's richest family getting married in India.

"The 800-person party then moved, on February 10, to the atmospheric lakeside Rajasthan town of Udaipur - setting for the Bond film Octopussy."

2. If you google "Udaipur" (as I did), you will find that it is a town that perfectly fits the dictionary's definition.

a. Many tourists (including celebrities) flock there.

b. It is called "The City of Lakes."

c. Besides lakes, there are many palaces.

i. Speaking of romance and mystery, some of the palaces honor a beautiful princess whom many princes wanted to marry. So she poisoned herself!

3. Thus, if you go to Udaipur, it is impossible NOT to be influenced by the physical beauty of the city and by the part that it has played in India's long history.
