Hey guys, Hope you all are doing fine,

The question that I'm gonna ask as is obvious in the title, is about the meaning of "Split".
Now, I'm going to give you the context:

In a newly released movie called "young ones", there is an auction. The man who is selling goods says:
Start the bidding at three hard. How about a number three? I got a three from 26.
Can you give me a three split, a three split, can you give me a three split, I got a three split from 24.
Gimme a four, four, can you give me four? (It goes on until number 7)

I think by "Three hard" he means 300$ cash, but what about 3 split?

I really appreciate if you help me out.

Thanks in advance,

Probably 350.

Presumably 26 and 24 are the identifier numbers of the relevant bidders.

Thank you. [strike]sir.[/strike] Unnecessary and overly formal. Also, it excludes all our female members.

I appreciate it.
