1. When he arrives home, he will be turning on the TV.
2. When he arrives home, he will turn on the TV.

What is the difference between the two sentences?

1. When he arrives home, he will be turning on the TV.
2. When he arrives home, he will turn on the TV.

What is the difference between the two sentences?
The second is more natural. It would be even more natural in everyday conversation with "he'll" instead of "he will". Other than that, the only difference is the tense.

In PE class, the students failed to shoot, and the teacher says, "Anyone wants to try it again?"

Student 1: I will be trying it again.

Student 2: I will try it again.

What's the difference between S1 and S2?

In PE class, the students failed to shoot, and the teacher says, "DOES anyone wants to try it again?"

Student 1: I will be trying it again.

Student 2: I will try it again.

What's the difference between S1 and S2?
Nobody would say the first one. Nobody would say the second one either.

A: Does anybody want to try again?
B: Me!

(The first one is not a response to the question.)
