Hi,

What is the verb(or phrasal verb) for the action that you reveal to someone for the first time you love him or her?

I need the following two scentences COMPLETELY INTERCHANGEABLE:

"Jack just revealed to Rose (for the first time) that he loved her"

" Jack ____ (to) Rose."

I would like to know if that verb exists. The verb needs to have a romantic connotation.

Thank you

Thanks,

For instance, Jack ____ (to) Rose. Would "confess" work?

Thanks,

A lot depends on the context between the two people. Confessed could work. Of course "told" will work. Sometimes, "surprised", "shocked", "admitted", etc.

More help is expected.

Proposed... there is nothing more romantic than a proposal!

Your answer is getting much closer! But they are still not interchangeable, are they?

Your sentence structure does not make interchangeability possible!

I agree, Amigos.

This is not an acceptable response to somebody who is using their free time to try to help you.

Sorry I really wasn't aware of the hostility in my response. I apologize for that. So how else should ask for help if I don't get what I look for?

Be patient. You had had a response from one person when you posted that. Usually, if you wait a day or so, you will find that four or five people respond and then you will have several suggestions. We are all volunteers doing this in our free time so we work to our timescale, not yours.

The simple answer to your question is that we do not have a one-word verb which specifically means "to reveal to someone for the first time that you love them".

Try something along the lines of "I was thinking about this other shade of meaning (provide an example)/structure (provide an example)" or "and how about in this other situation (provide an example)?"

That will most of the times be safely understood as a polite request for further help.

Nor do we have a phrasal verb meaning this.
