The official, who spoke on condition that he not be identified, said the text of the proposed agreement could be released as early as Wednesday.

I think that I understand the meaning of the bold phrase but I feel confused about grammar here.
Can I rewrite the bold phrase as follows?
"
who spoke on condition that he cannot/won't be identified"
or
"who spoke on condition that he doesn't be identified"

The present subjunctive (as "be" here) cannot easily be replaced in AmE, although BrE would accept wouldn't be identified.
