The other day in our English club meeting, a man said "Wine is made by crushing grape". I think he's not right because I was once told by my aunt who made wine herself "Wine is made by fermenting grape juice". Then I said the sentence to the man. We argued for a while though. My question is, it my italic bold sentence natural?

It is, but I've underlined mistakes in your preamble.

The man is right in a way; crushing grapes to get the juice is the first step. Fermentation comes next.

Corrections:

grape => grapes

Then I said to him, "Wine is made by fermenting grape juice". However, we argued for a while. My question is: is my italic bold sentence natural?
