Hello.

Imagine you are writing a formal essay. You want admit something is kind of true. Would you use "one would be right in making the argument"?

Is this correct and natural?

One would be right in making the argument that increasing taxes will drive some companies out of businesses. Nonetheless, this is insignificant compared to the benefits of raising taxes.

Hello.

No. See below.

Is this correct and natural?

One would be right [STRIKE]in making[/STRIKE] to make the argument that increasing taxes will drive some companies out of businesses. Nonetheless, this is insignificant compared to the benefits of raising taxes.

Note my correction above.

I don't find it natural. For a start, saying that someone would be "right" to say something wouldn't mean that it's "kind of true". I might start with something like "It's fair to say that ...".

One would be right in making the argument
No. If you want to make a concession and at the same time introduce an element of doubt, try for example:
It may appear reasonable to argue that ...

Do you specifically want to use "argue" or "argument" in your sentence?

Either is fine.

I like your sentence. Are there more sentences like that which can be used when I want to make a concession?

It's fair to say that ...
It would be fair to say that ...
It's not unreasonable to say that ...
No one would argue if you said that ...
You could argue that ...

Bear in mind that they don't all fit all scenarios.

Note that companies go out of business when they cease operating.
