Are the following sentences with "zoom" idiomatic and grammatical? They're from my notebook but the source is unknown.

1) Sales of new cars no longer zoom.
2) A fly zoomed about my head in narrowing circles.
3) The camera zoomed in to his old, tired face.

1) is okay to me. 2) is literary. 3) is okay.

2) A fly zoomed about my head in narrowing circles. :tick: "Ever-decreasing circles" is more idiomatic.
3) The camera zoomed in [STRIKE]to[/STRIKE] on his old, tired face. :tick: with my correction to the preposition.

1) is okay to me. 2) is literary. 3) is okay.
