According to the China Daily, some sudents from China are getting IELTS ghostwriters to take the IELTS test for them, as IELTS in Hong Kong is run separately and they can circumvent the lifetime ban back home if they are caught cheating. It's a growing business with a lot of people willing to pay someone to take the exam for them.

[I'm With Stupid]

This is the most bizarre form of cheating. If you're going to cheat to get onto a degree course you have no hope of passing, then why not just buy a fake degree instead? Surely they can't imagine that the English on the course itself will be easier? The only reason I can think of to do this is if the student visa is just a cover for illegal immigration.
