I'd like to be more specific: how to read "Ms"?

    Mr. is any male
Miss is an unmarried woman who prefers to be called Miss
Mrs. is a married woman who prefers to be called Mrs
Ms. is for any woman who thinks her marital status should not matter in decided what to call her, and what you use if you don't know whether the woman is married or what she prefers

    Ms. is pronounced Miz

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
