    Default "In the other camp"?

I came across this phrase "In the other camp" when the writer moved onto body paragraph 2. I am not sure what it means. Could you please give me some explanation? I would be very grateful.

Camp means as follow but they have the same meaning...
    1) a place where people stay in tents or other temporary structures
    2) an area where people are kept temporarily for a particular reason
    3) a place where soldiers stay when they are training or fighting a war

Thank you very much but what i mean here is that whether "In the other camp" could function as a linking phrase. It does not involve anything with tents or something like that, i'm afraid. It is just an essay discussing both views of an issue. i doubt if it means "on the other hand". But it sounds really strange actually.

No, it doesn't mean "on the other hand". I told you what I know about it but maybe or I hope other members will have an input in this thread.

Camp can be used to talk about "sides" or factions on opposite sides of an issue.

Those in the X camp are suggesting blah blah blah. Meanwhile, in the other camp, the prevailing view is blah blah blah.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
