dip into the till/ have one's fingers into the till
Dear teachers,
Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?
The company went out of business because the treasurer dipped into the till so often.
dip into the till = have one’s fingers into the till
Thanks for your efforts.
Regards,
V.
