How to fix tree major problems of my poor english skills?
Hello!
I try to learn english because I have to pass english test to get my degree. I have some major problems with english and I hope that someone could "analyze" what is wrong with my english. I am from Finland and my personal style to talk is very short and simple. My simple style to talk is one thing which seems to bug people from other cultures.
I have problems with tenses, prepositions and placing my words. I just cannot fix those, I do not know why. Before I can get those major problems fixed I cannot go forward. I know there is lot of other things to fix but those 3 major problems keeps me stuck where I am now.
I think you can see what a mess my enlish is already on this text but I can also write something for example text. Just say if that is necessary.
Thanks if you have time to reply

FlowerFairy,
(1) I am sure that very soon some excellent teachers and
helpful non-teachers will give you some great advice.
(2) I just wanted to congratulate you: You capitalized "I."
I have read that in many other languages, the word "I" is
not capitalized.
(3) I do, however, have one gentle reminder: English-speaking
people also always capitalize the name of their language. When
you write in your language, do you capitalize "Finnish"?
(4) Do not be too sad about prepositions. Even native speakers
get confused. And sometimes there are differences between
countries and even within the same country!!! (Here in California,
we stand in line, but in New York, they stand on line!!!)
I wish you the best of luck.

Hello and thanks for the answer TheParser
When I remember, I capitalize I, lol, (we write it without capitals).
I think we do not capitalize the name of our language. Finland as a country is capitalized but language is not if that is not first word after period. It is just suomen kieli or suomea. Thanks for example of using in and on
It is just that people who do not know that English is not my native language call me on very bad names and keeps me an brain invalid
So I know my English on this point where it is looks very extreamely bad
. I want to learn and I want to fix it better but right now I am very badly lost with grammar.

Thank you for your kind note.
Do not worry about people who say unkind things about
your English. Just ignore them. They do not deserve your attention.
Millions of people throughout the world learn to speak English
very well -- sometimes even better than many native speakers.
I have no doubt that you, too, will learn English. Remember that
old -- but true -- saying: Practice makes perfect.
Thank you

Without knowing what is expected in the test, it's impossible to move beyond a few generalities.

Is this an international test? If so, which one? If not, can you provide any idea of the syllabus?

Level is international (European) but I guess test is not. I have explanation of level in Finnish but I cannot translate it for you. This is European level called B2 which I have to pass (If I remember right and this is the right scale). Here is one website test Level check | Hampstead School of English, London I fail it crystal clear because of my grammar mistakes. I am not sure if that is same B2 which I have to pass... Prepositions and tenses goes wrong. And of course sometimes I do not understand what is purpose of sentence...

They're mostly testing fairly standard points. Number 4, for instance is testing be/get used to + -ing, which is often confused with used to + base form. If you tell us which you got wrong, we can give you some feedback on what it is that is being tested.
