metal tube
Hello!
What would you call a "metal tube" on a chair? A metal tube, metallic tube or pipe?

Re: metal tube
What kind of metal tube? Can you be more descriptive? My chairs don't have any metal tubes (sounds painful!)

The chair could have a tubular metal frame or legs made of a tubular metal.

Will.
It's commonly called tubular steel, or whatever the metal might be. Chairs made of bent metal tubing are usually called tubular chairs. They are sometimes called tube chairs, but this can also refer to an item where the whole chair is tube-shaped, like a large pipe.

Thank you all for your help.
In fact, what I want to say is : the frame of the chair is made of metal. Some of the tubes of the metal frame are damaged... Is the use of "tube" correct? Would it be better to say "pipe"?

Re: metal tube
I would say "part of the tubular frame is damaged", "pipe" is not really appropriate in this case. A pipe is more commonly a conduit for something, like a water pipe or gas pipe.

Tubular Chairs is a lesser known album by Mike Oldfield's brother Dwaine.
