Default On a more immediate note

Can you help me, please, with the highlighted phrase:

On a more immediate note, he was not happy with current command-and-control situation.

    Thank you

"Yes I'll tell you where the diamonds are. On a more immediate note, would you remove your gun from the side of my head please?"

    “Kiss me,” he whispered passionately.
“Gladly, Bertie, but on a more immediate note, you’re standing on my toes.”
bhaisahab, mara_ce and freezeframe like this.
