Hi teachers!
I am looking for some examples with preposition down expressing its absolute vertical concept like "The book is above/below the table"
I already looked up the dictionary but I couldn't find examples that I want except "tears were rolling down her cheeks"
Even though the example like "the car is down the street" is closed to vertical axis concept, strictly speaking it's not based on absoulte vertical axis concept.
Can you please make a sentence with the preposition down based on the absolute vertical axis concept?
And one more question. If I say "the apple rolled down the hill and fell down the cliff.", is it O.K.?
Thank you very much in advance.
Falling "off" a cliff is the wording I am used to.
