Please check out the following sentences. Which is acceptable?

(2) Spring is an elegant, amazing season.

No, '&' shouldn't be used in normal sentences like this. You want "and".

No definition of elegant that I know of can meaningfully be applied to any season of the year.

In India we generally use '&' that is short version of and..I will make sure to not adopt short version henceforth.
