    Default have no confidence that

I have no confidence that I can/will be able to go to university this year.

Is 'have no confidence that' an acceptable construction?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Joham

As a NES, but not a teacher, I would, personally, have no problem with "that" in the given context.

    Best regards

Many adjectives and nouns can be followed by that-clauses. Confidence is one of them. So I don’t find anything wrong with that construction.

You may also say: 'I am not confident that I will be able to go to university this year'.
