    Default You looks beautiful

In this drama, a customer comes out of a fitting room after wearing a wedding dress, and Melinda says like this, but is the subtitle wrong from "You look so beautiful" or is it possible? I can't get it.

    Mel - You looks beautiful

It depends. If the drama is set in a part of the UK where a particular accent/dialect is used, it's possible that she actually did say "You looks beautiful". I can't even begin to describe the accent that I have in my head when I say that. Other UK residents will know what I mean when I say it's West Country possibly and might be followed by "...you does".

That's what you heard ,or that's what the sub-title said?

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

It's confusing as the sound was not that clear, It seems to sound "looks" but I'm not sure.

But did the subtitle say "You look so beautiful" or did it say "You looks beautiful"?

There are often mistakes like that in subtitles, though. My first thought would be a subtitling error before a correct transcription of a regional dialect.

You'll hear forms like I says in London sometimes.

There's also a range of US dialects like that.
