    Default It was only yesterday when ....

    Hello.

    I've found the following sentence, which seems quite strange to me!

    1. It seems to me that it was only yesterday when I first met her.

    If my understanding of the sentence is correct, I think "that" would be used instead of "when" in #1. Am I right? Or is #1 correct and common as it is?

    If my guess is wrong, would you let me know the reason or let me have another example?

    I would use "that'.
