    The role of technology is to become a vehicle on which services can be provided.

    Does the underlined part sound OK in the sentence? It sounds a bit wordy to me.

    or would there be a better way to phrase it?

    I agree that platform would be better.

    The role of technology is to be a platform from which services can be provided.
