Would you be kind enough to give me your considered opinion concerning the following two sentences?
Tinned kidney beans are often precooked and safe to eat straight out of the tin.
Apply the solvent cement straight from the tin with a suitably sized brush.

They are both natural English, and the meaning is clear. 'From' is possible in the first; 'out of' is possible in the second, though I prefer 'from' - I think that this is just a personal preference.
