Hi all,
I just wanted to know if you think the sentence : [Fly me to the moon. ] is gramatically correct.
Any input appreciated.
Thanks :)
I don't see any problem with it. Frank Sinatra has a song called "Fly Me To The Moon".
One of the many definitions for fly found in the Macmillan Dictionary is "to take people or goods somewhere by plane." In this sentence, fly is an imperative, often used for making suggestions or giving orders. Other examples: Move to the rear of the bus.
Take a seat. Have a drink, will you? Help me with these packages.
