Does it open? or is it open?

I have to make questions asking for information and using information in picture to answer

My teacher said that : "does it open everyday?" and does it open in weekend?"
"IT" mean a "shop".


but I think that : "is it open everyday?" or is it open in weekend?



Now, can u show me who wrong? and why?

In this context, "Is it open every?" or "Is it open on/at the weekend?" make sense hence correct.

"Does it open every day?" and "Does it open at weekends?" also make perfect sense.

Note, stephen, 'everyday' is an adjective (what you use to say more about a noun: 'These are my everyday clothes....); 'every day' is an adverbial (what you use to say more about a verb: 'I wear them every day').
