I am making this game for an ESL activity in the classroom and I was looking for simple and correct vocabulary / sentences that the kids can use while playing.
A little bit to the left, to the right, to the top?.
These sentences are the instructions they will say to their blindfolded partners during the game.
A bit higher
A little bit lower
Much higher
Much more to the left
A bit to the left
A tiny bit to the right
A lot lower
Slightly further to the right
Up a bit
Down a bit
Left a bit
Right a bit
We wouldn't really say "to the top" as you did in your post. "To the left/right" are fine, but with directions we use "up/down/higher/lower".
There used to be a game show on UK TV, I believe it was called "The Golden Shot", which worked on similar principles, with a (blindfolded) contestant firing a crossbow at a target (William Tell-style).
The various directions there were, I believe:
(up/down/right/left)
(up/down/right/left) a bit
Stop!
Fire!
Hope this helps
