Verb and Forms
''Identify the form of the verb by the symbol X and give other forms(-en, -ed). Supply double forms where they exist: taught, flee, overhear, learn, burst''.
Can someone explain to me what is it meant by that? How can for example, verb taught (teach) have -ed form? As far as I know, teached cannot be said or written, that doesn't exsist. It is irregular verb. So how can that verb have the -ed form? Or the -en form?
I appreciate if someone even tries to explain :)
Thank you!

Verb and Forms
Ouu, the -ed form is past simple, isn't it? But the mentioned irregular verbs don't have -ed suffixes (at least not all of them) but they have their own irregular forms.
Or I got it all wrong?

Re: Verb and Forms
It doesn't matter if the verb doesn't end in -en or -ed; use taught not teached.

Re: Verb and Forms
Some people refer to the past simple, or second, form of the verb as the -ed form, and the past participle, or third, form as the -en form. They do this even if the forms do not end in '-ed, -en'.

Ofcourse, I always do that with irregular verbs :)
And thank you!

Either say "I got it, after all" or "I did get it, after all". The "did" emphasises the verb.
